Financial Controller and Reporting Specialist


What will you do?

You work in a Financial Control department with 3 other colleagues, supporting management in administration, reporting, tax, administration, financial analysis and controls. You play a crucial role in keeping our organisation in financial control!

As Financial Controller and Reporting specialist you will:

  • Be responsible for a correct and complete financial administration and (consolidated) reporting for all entities (currently 4) in our structure;
  • Actively participate in the monthly and annual closing;
  • Set up financial reports and prepare reconciliations including monthly consolidation and annual consolidated financial statements and reporting to supervisors (MESRAP/MER/BCL/CBS);
  • Contribute to writing accounting memos on IFRS treatment of complex transactions and events;
  • Prepare payments in banking system, including assisting Treasury in performing cash transfers;
  • Prepare and review asset management fee invoices which we send to our investors;
  • Control and monitor the administration of monthly payroll outsourced to an external payroll company;
  • Manage and improve our AO-IC processes;
  • Contribute to projects and specific requests impacting the Financial control department;
  • Facilitate the external audit;
  • Liaise with external Trust company that manages our spv’s;
  • Help defining the IFRS 9 ECL provisions based on the outcome of the provisioning process and advise management on the required level of provisioning;
  • Perform CIT and VAT tax calculations and file tax returns.

What are we looking for?

To be successful in this position you are someone who is an expert in the finance domain and preferably in the asset management sector. You have strong analytical skills and work accurately. We are a team and working together is very important. If a colleague is not there, we take over each other's work. Or when someone is very busy, we help each other. Since you work a lot with people inside and outside our organization, it is very important that you have excellent contact and communication skills. And further:

  • You have completed an education program (Bachelor or Master) in the direction of Business Economics, Accountancy or related;
  • You have at least 5 years of work experience in a similar position;
  • Preferably you have gained experience in the financial sector;
  • Knowledge of IFRS accounting principles;
  • Knowledge of AFAS accounting system is a plus;
  • You are not afraid of change and you help us to continuously improve our processes and procedures;
  • Your English is fluent both in word and writing;
  • Fluent in Dutch is a plus;

You are available between 32-40 hours per week.
